West Brom charged by FA over Wolves crowd disorder

West Bromwich Albion have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association over crowd disorder during their FA Cup derby defeat by Wolves.

The game, won 2-0 by Premier League side Wolves, was the first meeting between the Black Country rivals in front of supporters since 2012.

Championship club Albion have until Wednesday, 20 March to respond.

“It’s alleged that the club failed to ensure its spectators and/or supporters conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and don’t behave in an improper, offensive, violent, threatening, abusive, indecent, insulting or provocative way,” the FA said.external-link

“It’s also alleged that the club failed to ensure its spectators and/or supporters refrain from throwing missiles or other potentially harmful or dangerous objects towards the pitch.”
