Kate Hudson expresses desire to play Steve Nicks in biopic

Kate Hudson hopes to play Steve Nicks in biopic: ‘Ultimate rock & roll story’

Kate Hudson revealed her love for Steve Nicks and shared that she would want to “go method” for her biopic.

The actor-singer, 45, in an interview with Rolling Stone expressed her affection for Nicks by recalling her as her “No. 1.”

“I think for all girls who love rock, Stevie’s just our No. 1,” Hudson told the outlet on Sunday, June 2.

“Her whole life experience and the music. Fleetwood Mac, that whole journey from before Stevie to after Stevie? And her relationship with Lindsey [Buckingham]? It’s like a trilogy. There’s so much there. To me, that’s like the ultimate rock & roll story.”

The Fire singer, who released her first studio album, Glorious, last month, got candid about her decision to rock Nick’s roll despite there being some hesitation.

“My family might, like, disown me if I ever got a chance to play Stevie,” Hudson quipped. “‘Cause they’d be like, ‘Can we not go method?’ I would probably go way too far into that character.”

The Live Forever crooner, who is the daughter of Goldie Hawn, started her acting career in Hollywood with blockbusters including Almost Famous, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Bride Wars and more 20 years ago.
