Apple Vision Pro Confirms to Release in US Markets from 2 Feb


The company’s next mixed reality (MR) headset, called Vision Pro, will go on sale in the US on February 2nd, according to a Monday announcement from Apple CEO Tim Cook.

With its completely immersive heads-up display and augmented reality technology, the Apple Vision Pro gives users a variety of options for accessing Apple’s well-known productivity suite.

Announcing the launch of Apple Vision Pro, Tim Cook emphasized its utility for spatial computing. “The era of spatial information technology has arrived! Apple Vision Pro will be available in the United States on February 2, said the CEO of Apple. The company’s website said that the Apple Vision Pro “will be available for pre-order from 19 January at 5:00 am PST.

“The Apple Vision Pro is Apple’s first 3D camera. You can capture magical space photos and space videos in 3D, then relive the moments you love like never before with surround sound. Your existing photo and video library will look incredible on a spectacular scale. And the panoramas surround you, making you feel like you’re standing right where you shot them. You can also take space videos with the iPhone 15 Pro and view them with Apple Vision Pro, the company announced in a press release.

Earlier, speaking to the BBC about the Apple Vision Pro, CEO Tim Cook said that the company spent years researching and developing this product to make it so easy to use that it works the way your mind works.

Spatial Computing

Spatial Computing refers to the use of technology to interact and manipulate the physical world around us. The technology involves integrating virtual elements into the real environment, creating a coexistence of the digital and physical worlds, also known as mixed reality (MR).

The technology includes various components such as sensors, augmented reality behind digital information, virtual reality to create an immersive digital environment, spatial mapping, and mixed reality to connect the digital and physical worlds.

Apple Vision Pro Price

The Apple Vision Pro, which was unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2023, is priced at Rs 3,499 (₹2.9 lakh). The high price of the Apple Vision Pro didn’t go down too well with consumers, and even some tech experts thought the mixed reality headset wasn’t worth selling. Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to Tim Cook’s message and said he was looking forward to trying the Apple Vision Pro.
