ACTIONS OF OTHERS

While I don’t condone Morgan Rielly for his illegal crosscheck on Ridly Greig for a less-than-professional empty net goal at the end of the game, let’s not forget a Jose Batista bat flip in the direction of the opposing team. Today there are too many glass houses.

(As Simmons has said, throwing the book at him isn’t necessary)

OUTCOMES THE DRAMA TEACHER

I watched with interest as our prime minister morphed to his prior career as a drama teacher, indignantly criticizing Bell Media for what he proclaimed was a “garbage decision” by Bell Media to sell off assets and reduce staff. Actually, can’t think of anyone more qualified to comment on the topic of “garbage decisions,” after all, he’s had a lot of practice.

(It’s all performative for Trudeau — as usual, he’s unserious)

LIBERALS WASTE OUR MONEY … AGAIN

In the summer of 2022, my wife and I drove to Edmonton. Since it was quicker and cheaper to drive through the U.S.A., we purchased a tablet and downloaded the app for ArriveCAN. We crossed the U.S.A./Canada border four times during our trip, and not once were we asked to present this proof of vaccination. All a waste of time and our tax dollars! And now, after reading “Committee shuts down probe into ArriveCan failures” (Brian Lilley, Feb. 9) in The Toronto Sun, I agree with the headlines that it was all just a scam and some people made a lot of money from this B.S. Someone should be in jail over this. Just another example of Trudeau and the Liberals wasting our tax dollars for nonsense.

(Could this utter waste of tax dollars result in criminal charges?)

PRICE DIFFERENTIAL

I have just returned from shopping at Walmart in nearby Smiths Falls. Many prices there, and at other grocers, are dependent upon multi-buys. One example, was Shreddies at three for $10 or 4.67 each! Why the large spread? This discriminates against the fiscally challenged, those that don’t have the storage space, and single people who cannot consume all the product before the best-before date. Perhaps the Conservatives should bring this up in the House.
