Best candidates for EA FC 25 cover star

If EA Sports follows the same annual pattern, we could have the first official information about EA FC 25 very soon.

This will be the second year of EA Sports continuing the journey without the name of FIFA attached to their franchise. Usually, one of the earliest confirmed information tends to be regarding the cover star. This is important as there are numerous valid choices. Making a good pick is important as that footballer will be on the cover, and a popular choice could set the tone for the rest of the year. While EA Sports is yet to reveal the cover, let’s take a look at the best potential candidates for the upcoming game.

Who are the best choices for EA FC 25 cover?

Jude Bellingham

If you believe rumors, Jude Bellingham is going to become the cover star of EA FC 25. Several leakers on social media has shared the information, but do note that there’s been absolutely zero information from EA Sports. Additionally, the actual cover hasn’t been leaked, so it’s pure speculation at this point. That said, I do think that the English midfielder is a fantastic choice.

Bellingham is having a year to remember. After switching to Real Madrid, the England wonderkid won the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. He was phenomenal for Los Blancos. He has carried his momentum to the Euros, and he could get a winner’s medal very soon. Incidentally, EA Sports even added his iconic celebration as part of a patch.

Bellingham is a marketable face who’s yet to enter his prime. His ceiling is pretty high, too, and Real Madrid has a close relationship with EA Sports. This makes him a great choice for EA FC 25‘s cover star.

Erling Haaland

Before the recent rumors, I expected Erling Haaland to retain his spot as a cover star for at least one more year. EA FC 24 was the first time when he became a cover icon, and another year won’t be a bad choice. He has continued his dominance with Manchester City, and added another Premier League title. At his rate, Haaland could end up becoming the greatest scorer in Premier League history (if he stays there long enough).

Kylian Mbappe

The French World Cup winner has been the cover icon for three years in a row (FIFA 21, 22, and 23). Many fans felt that the decision to go with Erling Haaland had more to do with the change of the game’s name and brand. In terms of accolades and performances, it won’t be wrong to bring back Mbappe on the covers.

He’s going to start a fresh reign at Real Madrid, which is adding a world-beater to an already star-studded lineup. What better way to celebrate the moment than to make Mbappe the face of EA FC 25? Like Bellingham, Mbappe has his iconic celebration (a great contender for the cover art).

I am sure that there will be plenty more rumors in the lead-up to the end of July, when EA Sports is expected to make things official. It will be interesting to observe if the recent rumors turn out to be true and whether Jude gets his appearance as the game’s cover star.
